The Real Queen of Stuff
The Real Queen of Stuff is the alter ego of Alexandra Kollaros, a reincarnation that came about during her extensive travel bout, known as «self-imposed exile». Using photography as her main means of expression, the artist captures snapshots of her personal universe and the surrounding world with the scope of documenting the experience of life and the extreme beauty of the natural wonder that envelops us.
Treasures of the Earth
The works are part of the «Treasures of the Earth » series – a collection of works based on depicted details of natural elements the artist has photographically captured at their zenith. The motives κλείνουν το ματι to old school textile design with the technique also hinting to traditional screen printing techniques – concepts that connect with the artist’s background. Purposefully decorative to the extreme – an intricate and colourful extravaganza – much like an ode to maximalism, the works pay homage to the natural perfection that surrounds us.
