Mykonos Art Program
A 3 month-long program of art activities
The Mykonos Art Program (obviously) took place in the island of Mykonos.
It unfolded throughout the premises of Marina View, occupying its private, communal and external areas as well as in various unexpected locations across the island.
The program consisted of a series of mini exhibitions, installations and interactive art activities and events which succeeded each other during the summer season, with the participation of renowned and emerging Greek and International artists and art professionals.
Street artist Mariana Cute inaugurated the program with an art residency, creating the SPF 50+ swimming-pool installation, while street artist Esek_one bombed the island of Mykonos with miniature artworks. Celebrated Greek designer Rodanthi Senduka, creator of the Olympic Games Athens 2004 symbol, presented a YoYo bench-inspired interactive happening, and Italian multi media artist Alexandra Franco organised grand scale projections of an especially created video.
The program aimed to underline the universal appeal of art and its ability to sustain interesting conversations in all languages.
