Calling artists to join us in first Latin American exhibition for the support of the Ecuador earthquake victims.
The artAZ SURPRISE benefit art campaign is crossing borders.
SURPRISE Quito is our first Latin American installment, taking place at Galeria Artik, in Quito, Ecuador, in September 2016.
This time we are mobilizing the international art community to support the victims of the Ecuador April 16th earthquake. To make it happen we have partnered with the leaders of the Ecuadorian art scene: Galeria Artik, Ghibli, Ileana Viteri, Mas Arte, Pentasiete and Z Lifestyle Gallery. Cosas and Casas magazines are supporting the international exhibition. Together we are supporting the work of the Desafio Ecuador non-profit organization.
We are calling artists to join our cause by creating a small format artwork.
SURPRISE is a campaign that mobilizes the power of art to offer help in major societal problems. The campaign runs to great success since 2009. In every edition of SURPRISE artAZ joins forces with hundreds of artists from around the world - from internationally renowned stars to fine art students - everyone is welcome to support our cause. All artworks are small format, are offered for the same symbolic price, and are signed at the back. The artist’s identity gets revealed only after the artwork is sold, hence the "SURPRISE".
You can find out more about SURPRISE by visiting the SURPRISE and PORTFOLIO sections of artAZ.
Participating in «SURPRISE» is easy. We ask you to create a small artwork, sign it at the back and offer it to support the cause.
